We are looking for a Cloud Engineer to support the day-to-day operation, monitoring,maintenanceand reliability of Climate Friendly’s Azure platform. Sitting within our Technology Hub, this role helps ensure our cloud services aremonitored, incidents are responded to promptly, operational tasks are completed effectively, and platform documentation and runbooksremaincurrent.

About the Role

Reporting to the Azure Solutions Architect, the Cloud Engineer will support Azure services across compute, storage, networking, backups and platform health. You will respond to alerts and service issues, execute approved infrastructure changes, support patching and vulnerability remediation, and help maintain documentation, operational procedures, runbooks and support guides. In this role, you will support the operation, monitoring, maintenance and reliability of the Azure platform, working with documented processes, change controls and operational runbooks. You will also escalaterisks, technical issues and architecture-related decisions to the Azure Solutions Architect.

KeyResponsibilities

- Monitor Azure services includingcompute, storage, networking,backupsand platform health.
- Respond to Azure alerts, incidents, serviceissuesand operational requests.
- Execute approved infrastructure changes in line with change management processes.
- Support patching, vulnerabilityremediationand operational security activities.
- Assist with Defender for Cloud recommendations and secure score improvement actions.
- Support backup monitoring, recoveryvalidationand disaster recovery testing.




- Administer RBAC and access controlsin accordance withapproved access processes.
- Assistwith automation, scripting and Infrastructure as Code activities whererequired.
- Maintain Azure documentation, operational procedures,runbooksand support guides.
- Support investigation of recurring issues and contribute to problem management activities.
- Escalate risks, technicalissuesand architecture-related decisions to the Azure Solutions Architect.

AboutYou

- 2–4 years’ experience in infrastructure, cloudoperationsor related technical support roles.
- Practical exposure to Microsoft Azure services.
- Understanding ofcore Azure services including virtual machines, storage accounts, networking,monitoringand identity.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts including DNS, routing, firewalls,VNets,subnetsand private connectivity.
- Basic understanding of identity and access management, including Azure RBAC and Entra ID.
- Experience responding to incidents,alertsand operational support requests.
- Ability to follow documented processes, changecontrolsand operational runbooks.
- ITIL Foundation or practical experience working within incident,changeand problem management processes.
- Exposure to Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Bicep.
- Exposure to Azure Monitor, Log Analytics,



Defender for Cloud, BackupCentreand Azure Policy.
- Experience working in a governed Azure Landing Zone setting.
