About the Role

As Duty Manager, you'll play a key leadership role in the daily operation of the hotel. Reporting to the Front Office Operations Manager, you'll lead by example, supporting the team to deliver exceptional guest experiences while ensuring smooth and efficient hotel operations.

This is a hands-on leadership position suited to someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a fast-paced workplace and is passionate about developing people and creating memorable guest experiences.

What You'll Be Doing

- Leading hotel operations during your shift across all departments.

- Delivering exceptional guest service and resolving guest enquiries and escalations professionally.

- Supporting and coaching team members to achieve high service standards.

- Ensuring compliance with hotel policies, procedures and safety standards.

- Monitoring room inventory, arrivals, departures and daily operational requirements.

- Completing end-of-day auditing and reporting as required.





- Acting as Manager on Duty and representing hotel leadership after hours.

- Building positive relationships with guests, colleagues and suppliers.

About You

You'll be a confident leader who enjoys supporting others while maintaining exceptional service standards.

You'll bring:

- Previous Duty Manager or hotel leadership experience within a 4 or 5-star hotel.

- Strong operational knowledge across Front Office and hotel operations.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Outstanding problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

- A calm, professional approach under pressure.

- High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.

- Flexibility to work a rotating roster including evenings, overnight shifts, weekends and public holidays.

- Experience using Opera Cloud or Opera PMS (highly regarded).

- Current RSA and First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain).

- Full Australian working rights.

- Current unrestricted driver's licence.
