We’re looking for a detail-driven Estimator / CAD Drafter to support our growth by delivering accurate estimates, high-quality drawings, and professional tender submissions, playing a key role in winning work and setting our projects up for success from day one.

The CAD Drafter is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, preparing take-offs, and producing detailed CAD drawings, Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and supporting tender submissions. The role is critical to securing new work and ensuring projects are scoped, priced, and documented accurately, while maintaining compliance with All Hills Fencing (AHF)’s Integrated Management System aligned to ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 45001 (WHS), and ISO 14001 (Environmental).

Key Responsibilities:

- Design practical and compliant fencing solutions based on plans and client requirements
- Prepare detailed and accurate material take-offs from plans, specifications, and Bills of Quantities (BOQs)
- Interpret and analyse BOQs to ensure scope completeness and cost accuracy
- Develop cost estimates for fencing and related projects
- Review project documentation to identify risks, variations, and cost impacts
- Maintain and update pricing schedules and cost databases
- Ensure estimating practices align with ISO quality and documentation standards

CAD Drafting:

- Produce clear, accurate CAD drawings aligned to project specifications
- Interpret architectural and engineering plans into practical fencing solutions
- Revise drawings based on client,



estimator, or project team feedback
- Ensure drawings meet quality and compliance requirements
- Communicate effectively with internal clients for clarifications and requirements and support the Tender Coordination team.

Stakeholder Engagement:

- Liaise with suppliers to obtain pricing and technical information
- Work very closely with the Managing Director to ensure smooth handover of deliverables
- Communicate effectively with clients for clarifications and requirements

Qualifications and Skills:

- Proven ability to design, draw, estimate, and order within construction-related projects
- Demonstrated ability to complete accurate take-offs and cost estimates
- Evidenced based experience in estimating and/or CAD drafting
- Experience interpreting and working with Bills of Quantities (BOQs)
- Experience using Bluebeam Software desirable
- Solid ability to interpret plans, specifications, and technical documents
- Mandatory: Experience in the fencing or building/construction industry
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines.
