Are you an experienced, hands-on e-commerce professional ready to take the next step in your career?
Pisces needs your help! Having previously outsourced our digital operations, we are bringing our eCommerce functions in-house to build an agile, dedicated team from the ground up.
With annual group revenues exceeding $30 million across a portfolio of established online retail and wholesale businesses, this role offers incredible scope. As our eCommerce Specialist, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operational duties of our eCommerce assets - transitioning agency functions in-house, maintaining storefront operations, and keeping our product catalogues sharp, accurate, and high-converting.
The Role
You will oversee the daily operations of our retail (B2C) and wholesale (B2B) websites to ensure product launches, site updates, and visual content are executed seamlessly.
Key Responsibilities
1. Operations
- Operate day-to-day workflow for in-house Shopify and SEO performance, graphic design, product photography, and supporting other team members.
- Ensure the smooth transition of day-to-day tasks from external agencies to the internal team.
- Establish efficient task workflows for photography shoots, image editing, design requests, and product uploading.
2. Product & Catalogue Management
- Oversee end-to-end product listings, ensuring rich descriptions, precise specifications, SEO keywords, and accurate categorization.
- Maintain master data across all online channels, ensuring pricing, stock levels, and product variants sync correctly.
- Audit site content regularly to fix broken links, missing image assets, and listing errors.
3. Website Maintenance & Merchandising
- Manage day-to-day website updates, homepages, visual merchandising banners, and landing pages across both retail and wholesale sites.
- Oversee B2B wholesale portals, ensuring custom customer pricing tiers, trade account setups, and bulk order workflows operate smoothly.
- Troubleshoot basic site issues, liaise with web developers on technical fixes, and monitor site performance metrics.
4. Content & Visual Quality Control
- Work with your team to create campaign assets, banners, flyers, and product shoots.
- Review final visual assets to ensure they meet brand guidelines and optimized web standards.
5. Performance Tracking & Optimisation
- Monitor daily traffic, sales, conversion rates, and cart abandonment using Google Analytics (GA4) and platform dashboards.
- Implement continuous improvements to site search, filtering, navigation, and checkout funnels.
What We're Looking For
- Relevant Experience: 3-5 years of experience in a dedicated e-commerce role in B2C and/or B2B online storefronts.
- Platform Expertise: Strong hands-on experience with major e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify / Shopify Plus, OpenCart etc) and CMS/backend environments.
- Data & Catalogue Experience: Solid understanding of CSV/data imports, product taxonomy, PIM/ERP connections, and SEO best practices.
- Commercial Mindset: High attention to detail with an understanding of customer user journeys, conversion rate optimisation, and retail/wholesale trade.
Remuneration & Package Structure
- Base Salary: $90,000 - $110,000 + Superannuation
- Perks: Hybrid work flexibility, staff discounts across group brands, and a transparent path for growth as the in-house department expands.
