Electronics Technician - New Assembly & Repairs

Vision Intelligence designs, manufactures and supports mobile solar-powered surveillance solutions. With more than 20 branches across Australia and New Zealand and over 2,000 regular clients, our equipment is used every day to help protect construction sites, infrastructure, equipment and property.

The opportunity

We are looking for a practical Electronics Technician to join our manufacturing team in Seven Hills. The role is split across the assembly and testing of new units, together with fault-finding, repair and modification of existing camera, lighting, battery and low-voltage DC systems.

The work is diverse and hands-on. You will contribute directly to the quality and reliability of equipment deployed to our customers.

What you will do

Build new solar-powered camera and lighting units from components through to completed assembly.

Install electrical and electronic components and complete wiring and mechanical assembly.

Test new units and identify or rectify faults before equipment is released.

Inspect, diagnose and repair existing or returned equipment, including low-voltage DC, battery, solar and camera-related faults.

Complete modifications and rework accurately to documented standards.

Use hand tools, power tools and test equipment safely.

Record completed work and raise recurring quality or component issues.

Assist with related workshop and warehouse activities when required.

Maintain a consistently high standard of workmanship, safety and housekeeping.

What we are looking for

At least two years of practical experience in electronics assembly, electrical assembly,



equipment repair or a similar hands-on technical role.

Demonstrated fault-finding ability and confidence using basic electrical test equipment.

Ability to follow wiring diagrams, work instructions and quality procedures.

Confidence using common hand and power tools.

Good attention to detail and pride in producing reliable, tidy work.

Clear communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.

Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of the role, including occasional lifting up to 32 kg, with equipment or team assistance where appropriate.

A forklift licence is useful but not essential.

Security licence and work rights

The successful applicant must hold, or be eligible and willing to obtain, the relevant NSW security licence. Eligibility requirements include identity and probity checks and specific citizenship, residency or visa criteria. Applicants must also have full working rights in Australia.
