Working closely with our Chief Financial Officer, you'll play an important role in delivering accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong financial controls and providing commercial insights that support business performance.

About the Role

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this is an on‑site role based at Doolan’s North-Western Sydney office, supporting accurate financial reporting, strong financial controls and the financial performance of the business across multiple divisions.

This is a hands‑on finance role suited to someone who enjoys being close to the business, working directly with the CFO and operational leaders, and contributing to better reporting, visibility and decision‑making.

Your responsibilities will include:





- Preparing monthly management reports, Profit & Loss and Balance Sheets
- Cash flow forecasting and financial reporting
- General ledger and bank reconciliations
- GST, BAS and payroll tax reporting
- Project costing, job costing and profitability reporting
- Fixed asset management and depreciation schedules
- Supporting budgeting and financial planning
- Maintaining strong financial controls and compliance
- Identifying opportunities to improve finance systems and reporting processes
- Providing commercial support to operational leaders

About You

You'll be a proactive finance professional who enjoys working collaboratively while taking ownership of your work.

To succeed in this role, you'll bring:

- Experience as a Financial Accountant or similar finance role
- Strong financial reporting and management accounting skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience using ERP or accounting systems
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Construction, civil, plumbing or project‑based industry experience will be highly regarded
