General Glass Supplies Pty Ltd T/A Mercury Glass Mercury Glass, trading as General Glass Supplies Pty Ltd, is a well-established independent distributor of architectural and building glass based in Acacia Ridge, Brisbane. We supply premium glass products for a wide range of commercial and residential projects, with local manufacturing capabilities and a strong commitment to meeting Australian and

New Zealand Standards. We are seeking experienced and motivated Glaziers to join our team on a full time basis. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for measuring, cutting, and installing glass across a variety of project types, working both on-site and in our production facility.

Task & responsibilities

- Determine the type, dimensions, and specifications of glass required for each project
- Measure, mark, and cut glass panels to size using specialised glazing tools and equipment
- Lay glass over patterns and jigs; examine panels and mark defective areas before installation
- Install glass and mirrors in windows, doors, skylights, display cases, interior walls, and ceilings




- Smooth and finish rough edges using belt sanders and polishing wheels
- Seal and secure glass using glazing compounds, sealants, and appropriate fasteners
- Remove and replace broken or damaged glass safely and efficiently

May coat, cut, etch, trim, and treat glass to achieve special finishes or effects

Qualification & experience

- Certificate III or equivalent overseas qualification
- Minimum 1 years' full-time experience as a Glazier in commercial and/or residential settings
- Strong knowledge of glazing installation techniques, glass types, and safety procedures
- Ability to operate glazing tools and handling equipment safely
- High attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines
