An exciting opportunity exists for a highly motivated and experienced Scrub/Scout Registered Nurse with Endoscopy experience to join our Perioperative Services team on a casual basis.

Working within our dedicated Endoscopy Unit, you will be responsible for providing high-quality perioperative nursing care across a broad range of diagnostic and interventional endoscopic procedures.

Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.

Minimum of 2–3 years' experience as a Scrub/Scout Registered Nurse, including recent experience in Endoscopy.

Demonstrated experience assisting with a range of diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures including gastroscopy, colonoscopy, ERCP and bronchoscopy (or similar procedural experience).

Sound knowledge of endoscope handling, reprocessing requirements and infection prevention principles.

Ability to work effectively both independently and within a multidisciplinary team.

Demonstrated understanding of current relevant guidelines, regulations and professional standards.

Knowledge of ACORN Standards and the National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards.

Commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and best practice.





Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with patients, medical specialists and colleagues.

Strong clinical assessment, decision-making and problem-solving skills.

Understanding of legal, ethical and professional nursing responsibilities.

Hold a passport or visa that permits you to live and work in Australia.

Current Working with Children Check and National Police Check.

Postgraduate Certificate or Diploma in Perioperative Nursing and/or Gastroenterology Nursing, or currently working towards one.

Experience across both Endoscopy and Operating Theatre environments.

Experience in advanced endoscopy procedures and emergency endoscopy lists.
