In this role you will:
- Setup and maintain accurate financial records for our tax and accounting clients.
- Process accounts payable and receivable.
- Process bank feeds, reconcile bank and loan accounts.
- Prepare BAS and IAS.
- Assist with payroll processing and superannuation compliance.
- Assist clients with Xero and MYOB queries as well as client training.
- Collaborate with our team to ensure client's compliance obligations are met.
What you bring:
- Certificate IV in Bookkeeping and Accounting or equivalent experience with the capability and desire to advance your accounting career in a public practice firm.
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role, preferably within a public practice accounting firm.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Experience with BAS / IAS processing is highly regarded.
- Experience with payroll processing and compliance is highly regarded.
- Proficiency in accounting software (eg. Xero) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with FYIdocs is desirable but not essential.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Australian work authorisation required at the time of application.
