About the role
We have an prospect for a motivated Legal Practice Administrator to join our team to manage all financial aspects of our legal practice from trust account administration, managing Xero, payroll, billing and recoveries.
This exciting part-time role will see you working autonomously under the Legal Practitioner Director overseeing all financial aspects of the business. You will be working in a modern office in a desirable inner city location with ample parking available.
You will be experienced in office administration in legal firms, have excellent communication skills and have a keen eye for detail and excellent accounting or bookkeeping skills.

Key Duties:
In this Legal Practice Administrator role, your day-to-day duties will include:
Maintain Practice Management software - LEAP Legal Software:
- Oversee creation of current matters
- Add payments and anticipated disbursements
- Edit LEAP templates as required
- Manage data transfer to Xero
- Manage trust to office transfers
- Reconcile Trust Account monthly
- Run trust account end of month and produce and store trust reports
Maintain Xero:
- Ensure data transferred to Xero from LEAP
- Add required office transactions to Xero
- Maintain suppliers
- Manage and run fortnightly Payroll and report STP to ATO
- Manage and approve Annual Leave and Personal (Sick) Leave inputs
Liaise with the following external stakeholders:
- Queensland Law Society
- Servcorp (City serviced offices Brisbane & Sydney)
Skills, Knowledge & Experience:
You will have the following for this role:
- Previous experience as a Legal Practice Administrator, Office Manager or similar role;
- Familiarity with the LEAP Legal software;
- Trust accounting experience;
- Excellent attention to detail together with strong verbal and written communication skills;
- Advanced skills in the MS Office suite (specifically Word & Excel );
- A willingness to learn, positive approach and solid initiative.
