We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated bookkeeping skilled who enjoys working across a broad range of finance functions and is looking to build a long-term career within a large, well-established organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Senior Accountant, your responsibilities will include:
Performing daily bank reconciliations and maintaining the general ledger.
Processing and reconciling Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transactions.
Preparing and processing journals, accruals, and prepayments.
Assisting with month-end and year-end accounting procedures.
Preparing and lodging BAS, IAS, and other compliance requirements.
Processing weekly payroll and maintaining employee time and attendance records.
Preparing and issuing customer invoices and following up outstanding accounts.
Reconciling balance sheet accounts and investigating discrepancies.
Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting audit requirements.
Assisting with cash flow reporting and financial administration tasks.
Providing administrative support to the Finance team and broader business.
Supporting special projects and ad hoc finance duties as required.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
Previous experience in a Bookkeeper, Accounts Officer, or similar finance role.
Sound understanding of bookkeeping principles, payroll, GST, and BAS requirements.
Experience with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and bank reconciliations.
Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
Experience with MYOB or similar accounting software.
A proactive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to continuous improvement.
