The Role

As an Electrical Fitter, you will be responsible for the overhaul, repair, testing and assembly of industrial rotating equipment. Your duties will include:

- Stripping, inspecting and rebuilding electric motors,



generators and associated rotating equipment
- Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults on industrial equipment
- Replacing bearings, seals, shafts, windings and other components
- Conducting insulation resistance (Megger), continuity and electrical testing
- Reading and interpreting electrical schematics, engineering drawings and technical manuals
- Assisting with pump overhauls and mechanical fitting duties where required
- Using precision measuring equipment to ensure components meet OEM specifications
- Completing testing and quality inspections prior to dispatch
- Maintaining accurate service reports and workshop documentation
- Adhering to strict quality, safety and environmental standards

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Trade qualification as an Electrical Fitter or Electrician
- Experience servicing and repairing electric motors, generators or rotating equipment
- Solid electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical documentation
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative workshop team
- Commitment to workplace health and safety

Highly Regarded

- Experience working on pumps, compressors or industrial rotating equipment
- Low Voltage (LV) motor experience
- Forklift or Overhead Crane Licence
- Experience within heavy industrial, mining, manufacturing or power generation environments
