The successful candidate will join a agile 30-bed inpatient ward (5D) that opened during the hospital's 2024 expansion, focusing on a sophisticated mix of medical and surgical care. Working as an integral part of a high-functioning multidisciplinary team, the Assistant in Nursing will deliver essential patient support and therapeutic care while utilizing world-class facilities, including 14 state-of-the-art theatres, a 50-bed Emergency Department, and an innovative clinical school.
Compensation Details: This role offers competitive remuneration with final rates determined by the individual’s relevant experience and qualifications. The placement is scheduled to commence immediately, with the current recruitment phase active through early 2026.
Requirements and Role Expectations
- Professional Certification: Must hold a Certificate III or IV in Community and Health Services, Personal Care, or an equivalent qualification from an approved training provider.
- Clinical Experience: Previous experience as an Assistant in Nursing is highly desired, particularly within an acute hospital environment.
- Skill Set:
Requires an individual with an excellent ability to plan and prioritize work, paired with highly developed verbal and written communication skills.
- Compliance: Applicants must provide a current National Police Check and a NSW Working with Children’s Check, along with proof of immunity to specified infectious diseases.
