We are seeking an experienced QA/QC COORDINATOR to join our GLADSTONE operations on a full-time basis. This is a hands‑on role supporting both our fabrication workshop and a variety of site‑based industrial projects. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Carry out review of Technical Data to ensure compliance with Client Specifications.
- Develop Technical improvements in relation to Quality aspects for the Project disciplines (Insulation, Protective Coatings, Fire Protection, Fabrication, Refractory and Mechanicals)
- Comply with all aspects of the Company Quality Policies and Procedures at all times.
- Ensure that the quality requirements of the Clients are adhered to at all times.
- Ensure that all products or services delivered to clients meet the strict Quality Standards set by the Company at all times.
- Conduct Process Audits to ensure Compliance with Quality requirements.
- Prepare Work Procedures and Method Statements in compliance with Good Work Practices and Project Contractual Specifications.
- Development of Work Method Statement/s and Inspection Test Plans.
- Identify areas for cost management through Quality Initiatives.
- Prepare QA/QC documentation for Insulation, Protective Coatings, Fire Protection, Scaffolding and mechanical drawings as per client requirements.
- Provide Quality and Technical Support for the Project.
- Assist the company wherever possible to ensure the overall health, safety and welfare of all KAEFER personnel, contractors or visitors.
- Ensure all work practices are carried out in as safe a manner as is possible and complies with all applicable legislation and the KAEFER's Occupational Health Safety and Environmental (OHS & E) policies / procedures at all times, to achieve a zero tolerance of unsafe practices.
- Develop of Company Report/s as required.
ABOUT YOU
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the Quality Assurance / Quality Control Management of Primary Core Business disciplines (Insulation, Surface Protection or Scaffolding) on Large Industrial Projects.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience of Applications / Procedures for Secondary Core Business disciplines (Fire Protection, Refractory or Asbestos Removal) on Large Industrial Projects, with some experience within the Oil and Gas Industry
- Possession of Mechanical and/or Coatings Inspection Certification under International and/or Australian Quality Standard
- Experience and Understanding of Auditing of Quality Systems (ISO 9001:2008 / AS 4801:2001)
- Experience of working on Offshore Installations would be advantageous
- Ability to understand Technical Information and Design Drawings
- Ability to Prepare Work Procedures & Method Statements
- Attention to Detail and Accuracy
