Mental Health Community Nurse | Expression of Interest

We're seeking Expressions of Interest from experienced Mental Health Community Nurses interested in upcoming 8-12 week contract opportunities across regional and rural Queensland. These roles are ideal for nurses who enjoy autonomous practice, building therapeutic relationships, and delivering recovery-focused care while experiencing new locations.
As a Community Mental Health Nurse, you'll join supportive multidisciplinary teams delivering high-quality mental health care within community settings. Working with manageable caseloads, you'll have the chance to make a meaningful impact while gaining experience across a variety of regional Queensland communities.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Conducting comprehensive mental health assessments
- Managing a community caseload using a recovery-oriented approach
- Developing, implementing and reviewing individual care plans
- Completing risk and mental state assessments
- Coordinating care with GPs, psychiatrists, allied health professionals, NGOs and carers
- Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings and clinical reviews
- Supporting consumers to achieve positive recovery outcomes within their local community
- Up to $72.79 per hour + Super (depending on experience and location)
- Travel and accommodation provided on many contracts
- Weekly pay
- 8-12 week contracts with potential extensions
- Opportunities to explore regional and rural Queensland while you work
- Dedicated consultant and compliance support throughout your contract

Criteria
- Current AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse
- Demonstrated experience in Community Mental Health Nursing
- Current National Police Check
- Current Working with Children Check (where applicable)
- Up-to-date vaccination records
- Current driver's licence (highly regarded for community roles)
- Excellent assessment, risk management and care coordination skills
