What You’ll Be Doing
As our Fitter Machinist, you will be responsible for ensuring plant and equipment operate safely, efficiently and with minimal downtime.
Your duties will include:
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues efficiently
- Performing fault-finding and troubleshooting to minimise production downtime
- Conducting routine maintenance, inspections and repairs on industrial machinery
- Maintaining accurate maintenance records and monitoring equipment performance
- Assisting in the development and execution of preventative maintenance programs
- Ensuring plant, equipment and systems are maintained to required standards
- Collaborating with production staff to optimise equipment functionality
- Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation
- CNC operation and maintenance (desirable)
- Availability to work outside standard operating hours when required for preventative maintenance

We’re looking for someone who brings:
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Experience in mechanical maintenance within a manufacturing environment
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and schematics
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
- Knowledge of preventative maintenance best practices
- A proactive, team-focused attitude with the ability to work independently
- Trade qualification as a Fitter & Machinist (essential)
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
