We're seeking a Senior Systems Analyst to join our Evolution team, reporting to the Head of IT.
This is a pivotal role that sits at the intersection of business operations and technology. You'll play a key role in ensuring the stability, performance and ongoing evolution of our business systems while partnering closely with stakeholders across the Poolwerx network to deliver meaningful technology improvements.
As the primary link between our business users, vendors and technical ecosystem, you'll lead system enhancements, coordinate testing and deployments, drive continuous improvement initiatives and ensure our technology solutions continue to support business growth and operational excellence.
What You'll Achieve
As a Senior Systems Analyst, you'll play a critical role in driving technology outcomes across the business:
- Lead System Evolution & Business Analysis – Partner with stakeholders to understand business needs, facilitate workshops and translate requirements into user stories, process maps and actionable system improvements that deliver measurable value.
- Drive Product & Platform Improvements – Own and prioritise enhancement opportunities, balancing strategic initiatives, vendor updates, technical debt and operational requirements to ensure systems continue to evolve in line with business objectives.
- Champion Operational Excellence – Act as the escalation point for complex system issues,
identifying root causes and implementing sustainable solutions that improve system reliability and user experience.
- Coordinate Testing & Successful Deployments – Lead functional testing activities and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business champions, ensuring new features are thoroughly validated and successfully adopted across the network.
- Strengthen Vendor & System Integration Management – Evaluate software updates, manage impacts across interconnected platforms and collaborate with vendors to ensure seamless integrations and minimal disruption to business operations.
- Support Business Enablement & Adoption – Partner with teams across the business to support training initiatives, communications and change management activities that drive engagement and maximise technology adoption.
- Deliver Continuous Improvement – Leverage user feedback, support trends and emerging technologies to proactively identify opportunities for innovation, efficiency and process optimisation.
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, Information Systems or a related discipline
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a Systems Analyst, Business Analyst, Product Owner or Technical Project Management role
- Strong experience gathering and documenting business requirements and facilitating stakeholder workshops
- Proven experience translating business needs into functional specifications, user stories and process improvements
- Working knowledge of Agile methodologies and Business Process Modelling (BPM)
- Experience working with project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Atlassian Suite, ClickUp or Asana
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience across multiple business systems domains, including:
- CRM and accounting platforms
- Field service and operations systems
- Point-of-sale, payments and eCommerce platforms
- Order and warehouse management systems
- Data warehousing and business intelligence platforms
- Systems integrations and connected technology ecosystems
- Strong stakeholder management and customer service orientation
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required
