We are a dynamic team consisting of Site Reliability Engineers (SREs), data engineers, and data scientists. We are looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team and take ownership of the entire CI/CD pipeline.
DevOps Engineer - L4 — EL1
We are a energetic team consisting of Site Reliability Engineers (SREs), data engineers, and data scientists. We are looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team and take ownership of the entire CI/CD pipeline.
Key Responsibilities and Tasks
- Build, manage and optimise containerised workflows using Podman and Kubernetes
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to ensure efficient and reliable software delivery
- Write and maintain scripts in Python to automate various DevOps tasks
- Utilise GitHub Actions to streamline the development and deployment processes
- Collaborate with SREs, data engineers, and data scientists to ensure seamless integration and deployment of applications
- Monitor and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines to identify and resolve issues promptly
- Ensure the security, scalability, and performance of our infrastructure and applications
- Document processes and best practices to facilitate knowledge sharing within the team
Education, Qualification and Experience Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in a DevOps engineering role.
- Proven expertise in managing containerised workflows using Podman and Kubernetes.
- Strong programming skills in Python.
- Experience with GitHub Actions for automating workflows.
- Solid understanding of CI/CD principles and best practices.
- Experience working within air-gapped environments.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC)
tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently with minimal management oversight.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Eligibility
To be eligible for a role you must:
- Be an Australian citizen
- Be assessed as suitable to hold and maintain a TOP SECRET-Privileged Access security clearance

- The position is Canberra based, with conditions similar to those in the Australian Public service including superannuation.
