The Safety Manager – Factory Operations leads the day-to-day delivery ofwork health, safety and wellbeing across Parratech’s factory operations.Reporting to the Head of Safety & Wellbeing, this role provides hands-onoperational safety leadership at the point of manufacture, ensuringpre-fabrication activities across Parratech’s production sites are carried outsafely, efficiently and in line with legislative and client requirements.Sitting within the operational support arm of the Safety & Wellbeing function,the role directly leads a team of site-based Safety Advisors and a SafetyOfficer. It translates Parratech’s safety strategy into consistent, practicalsafety practice on the factory floor, drives a proactive safety culture, andpartners with production leaders to keep people secure while meeting operationaltargets.
KeySkills.
- Strong working knowledge of the Work Health andSafety Act 2011 and WHS Regulation 2017, and their application in a manufacturing and pre-fabrication environment
- Proven operational safety leadership withinfactory, manufacturing or construction settings
- Ability to lead, coach and develop ageographically dispersed team of safety professionals
- Practical risk management skills – hazardidentification, risk assessment, SWMS, and plant and machinery safety
- Incident investigation and root cause analysis(e.g. ICAM)
- Strong stakeholder engagement and influencingskills with production and operations leaders
- Clear written and verbal communication, includingtoolbox talks, procedures and reporting
- A data-driven mindset – able to interpret safetymetrics and drive continuous improvement
- Competent user of WHS management systems and theMicrosoft Office suite
KeyResponsibilities.
- Provide operational WHS leadership acrossParratech’s factory operations, ensuring consistent safety standards atall production sites
- Lead, mentor and manage the site-based SafetyAdvisors and Safety Officer,
setting priorities and building teamcapability
- Partner with production and operations managersto embed safe systems of work into daily manufacturing activity
- Oversee hazard identification, risk assessments,Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) and safe operating procedures forplant, equipment and manufacturing processes
- Ensure timely reporting, investigation andclose-out of incidents, injuries and near misses, identifying root causesand preventive actions
- Drive plant and machinery safety, isolation andlockout, manual handling and all other critical risk operations on thefactory floor
- Monitor and report on operational safetyperformance, leading and lagging indicators, and corrective actionprogress
- Support emergency preparedness, evacuationplanning and contractor safety management at factory sites
- Champion a positive, proactive safety andwellbeing culture and lead workforce engagement initiatives
- Support the Head of Safety & Wellbeing indelivering the broader safety strategy and continuous improvement programs

Qualifications.
- Tertiary qualification in Work Health &Safety; or a related discipline (Diploma) – essential
- Minimum 5 years’ WHS experience, including aleadership role within manufacturing, construction or industrialoperations
- Demonstrated experience managing safety acrossmultiple sites or teams
- ICAM or equivalent incident investigationcertification – desirable
- Current NSW driver’s licence (regular travelbetween sites required)
