Handyperson

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Handyperson to join our Property and Facilities team. This is a hands‑on role that offers plenty of variety, where no two days are the same. From completing maintenance and repairs to supporting College events and ensuring our campus remains safe, functional and welcoming, you'll play an important role in the daily life of our school community.

About the Role

Reporting to the Head of Property and Facilities, you will undertake a broad range of maintenance activities across the College campus, including:

- General building maintenance and minor repairs
- Carpentry, painting and basic plumbing repairs
- Preventative maintenance and routine inspections
- Responding to maintenance requests in a timely manner
- Assisting with furniture moves and event set‑up and pack‑down
- Maintaining outdoor areas and College grounds as required
- Working collaboratively to ensure a safe, clean and well‑presented learning environment
- Supporting contractors and ensuring work is completed in accordance with Workplace Health and Safety requirements.

About You





You are someone who enjoys practical work, takes initiative and is committed to delivering high‑quality outcomes. You are organised, reliable and able to work independently while also contributing positively to a team.

You will ideally bring:

- Demonstrated experience in general building or facilities maintenance
- Practical skills across a range of maintenance tasks, including carpentry, painting and minor repairs
- Strong problem‑solving skills and a proactive approach
- The ability to prioritise competing tasks and respond to changing operational needs
- A commitment to safe work practices
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- A current driver’s licence (essential).

Trade qualifications or experience in a building or maintenance environment will be highly regarded.
