Join a team dedicated to making a real difference in patient lives.The Pharmacy Assistant - Senior role contributes to high-quality patient care through the provision of secure, effective, and efficient pharmacy services at Cairns Hospital under the direct or indirect supervision of a pharmacist, which support the delivery of an efficient and effective pharmaceutical service to Cairns Hospital.

About us:

The Pharmacy Service at Cairns Hospital provides a pharmacy service to the clinical areas of the hospital. Current services provided include: outpatient pharmacy services, clinical pharmacy services to inpatient areas of Cairns Hospital, clinical trials, and educational services. The Pharmacy at Cairns Hospital also provides operational management to the pharmacy teams at Innisfail, Atherton, Mareeba and Mossman.

About your role:

In this position you will...





- Provide a defined range of pharmacy services for patients with complex conditions under the delegation and guidance of a pharmacist.
- Provide advanced pharmacy clinical assistant expertise to the Pharmacy Department to meet organisational demands as required, including the dispensary and imprest.
- Liaise with patients and their families, other health professionals, supervisors, students and researchers, as required to ensure continuum of care.
