Mountain Culture Beer
Penrith
Mountain Culture started as a single, stylish brewpub in Katoomba back in 2019. Since then, we've grown into one of Australia's fastest-growing breweries, the biggest in Western Sydney, and held the #1 spot in the GABS Top 100 for four years running.
As our Senior Finance Manager, you'll lead the day-to-day operation of the finance function - owning financial reporting, compliance, cash flow, payroll and cost accounting, while leading our offshore finance team. This is a hands-on, commercially minded role based at our Emu Plains office, right at the heart of the business as we continue to scale.
What you'll do
- Prepare monthly reports (P&L;, balance sheet reconciliations) and manage month-end close, including accruals and prepayments
- Maintain daily cash flow and weekly AR/AP reporting, and report actuals against forecast and budget
- Prepare BAS/IAS lodgements and manage excise tax and container deposit scheme compliance
- Own BOM accuracy and production variance reporting (sales, labour, overheads), partnering with the Production Manager
- Drive process improvement in overhead/labour rate allocation and maintain the Fixed Assets Register
- Manage payroll processing, financial systems improvement, and lead our offshore finance team
Who you are
- CA/CPA qualified (or nearing completion), with tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance or Business
- 5+ years' experience in a Financial Controller, Finance Manager or senior finance role — FMCG, hospitality or manufacturing experience highly regarded
- Confident owning month-end close, BAS/IAS lodgements, and cost/production accounting end-to-end
- Experience leading or supervising a team, ideally including remote or offshore staff
- Tech-savvy, with strong Excel skills and hands-on ERP experience (NetSuite highly regarded)
- Commercially minded, hands-on, and comfortable operating in a quick-scaling business
What's in it for you
- Lead finance at Australia's fastest-growing, #1-ranked brewery
- Genuine autonomy and ownership over the finance function, reporting straight to the CFO
- Career progression as we continue to scale
- Free beer, team events, and a collaborative, down-to-earth culture
This is a role for an ambitious, highly motivated and commercially minded individual. You will work in a collaborative and vibrant environment where your skills and dedication will be valued.
