The Role

The Senior Human Resources Adviser supports the HR Manager, Development and broader HR team in the delivery of learning and development initiatives and organisational development programs that enhance organisational culture, capability, and employee development. The role is responsible for undertaking research, developing learning content, and coordinating project activities to ensure programs are high quality, aligned to organisational priorities, and responsive to workforce needs. The position also contributes to the enhancement of systems, processes, and workforce insights to support continuous improvement and effective workforce planning.

This role is full time and fixed term (12 months) at ACECQA Band 6 ($130,608- $145,629).

About You





To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Experience in learning and development, training, organisational development, or a related HR discipline.
- Instructional design and facilitation skills, with a sound understanding of adult learning principles and contemporary learning methodologies.
- Experience developing, implementing and evaluating learning, workforce development, or people-focused initiatives, strategies, and programs.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of HR theory, principles, legislation and trends, as well as HR best practices in public and private sector applied to clear strategic plans and interventions, and advice to clients
- High-level project management skills with a record of successfully delivering projects through to completion.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to prepare documentation for a range of audiences, provide advice, negotiate outcomes, and maintain discretion when handling sensitive matters.
- Experience using Learning Management Systems (LMS), digital learning tools, and HR information systems, including the ability to analyse data and generate workforce insights to support decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Strong research, analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues, evaluate options, and recommend practical solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise initiative, sound judgement, and work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team.




- A degree in Human Resource Management, Organisational Development, Education, Learning and Development, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of qualifications and experience.

Highly desirable:

- Team leadership or project resource leadership experience.
- Certification in training delivery.
- L&D; system experience (Go1, LearnUpon or similar platforms).
