Early Childhood Teacher | Early Intervention Specialist

Allied Health 2U (AH2U) is a growing mobile allied health provider delivering high-quality, person-centred care across Greater Sydney. Our multidisciplinary team includes psychology, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, podiatry, exercise physiology, speech pathology, and behaviour support.

We are passionate about helping clients achieve meaningful outcomes in the environments that matter most to them, including at home, in early learning settings, at school, in the community, in clinic, and via telehealth.

As early childhood supports continue to grow under the NDIS and the new national Foundational Supports and Thriving Kids reforms, we are expanding our early childhood intervention services. We are now seeking a qualified Early Childhood Teacher to bring specialist developmental and educational expertise to our team.

In this role, you will use your early childhood teaching skills to support young children with developmental delay and/or autism, and their families, to build skills, participation, and independence in the everyday settings where they live, learn, and play.

Working within a transdisciplinary early intervention team, you will design and deliver play-based, developmentally appropriate strategies for children up to school age, coach and build the capacity of families and educators, and support each child's learning and inclusion at home, in early learning services, and in the community. You will work across a mix of community, home, early learning, and telehealth settings, with the flexibility to tailor your schedule and work style.

Key responsibilities

- Deliver play-based,



developmentally appropriate early intervention for children up to school age
- Support children with developmental delay and/or autism to build communication, social, self-help, and early learning skills
- Coach and build the capacity of families, carers, and early childhood educators using a family-centred, key worker approach
- Support children's participation and inclusion in early learning services and the community, including the transition to school
- Contribute to assessment, goal setting, and individualised support planning within a transdisciplinary team
- Work collaboratively with families, carers, allied health colleagues, support coordinators, GPs, early learning services, and other stakeholders
- Maintain timely, accurate, and high-quality documentation aligned with NDIS and early childhood best practice
- Contribute to a culture of learning, collaboration, and continuous improvement

What we're looking for

- We welcome applications from both experienced early childhood teachers and motivated new graduates who are passionate about early intervention.
- A completed four-year early childhood teaching degree, such as a Bachelor of Education or Bachelor of Early Childhood Education,



approved by the Australian Children's Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA), or a four-year qualification package recognised as equivalent
- Sound knowledge of child development and evidence-based, play-based early intervention approaches
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
- Commitment to person-centred, family-centred, ethical, and inclusive practice
- Current Working With Children Check
- Current National Police Check
- Professional Indemnity Insurance, or willingness to obtain
- Current driver's licence and reliable vehicle
- Full Australian working rights
- Current or eligibility for NESA teacher accreditation
- Experience in early childhood intervention, the NDIS Early Childhood Approach, or supporting children with developmental delay, disability, or autism
- Experience coaching families and educators, and working within a transdisciplinary team
