About the Opportunity

We areseekingexperienced and compassionate female Support Workers to join our Accommodation Services team in Warners Bay (Newcastle) on a permanent part-timebasis.Youwill provide person-centred support to women living in a Supported Independent Living (SIL) home for people with Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS).

This role requires a strong understanding of professional boundaries, positive behaviour support, active supportpracticesand the importance ofmaintaininga structured and consistentenvironment.Asthe service supports female residents only, being female is a genuine occupational requirement of this position.

In this role you will support participants with daily living activities, personal care, community participation, skill development, health and wellbeing and the achievement of individual goals.You Will work collaboratively with families and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality, person-centred supports.

To be successful you will:

- Have experience supporting people with disability, particularly within Supported Independent Living (SIL) environments.
- Demonstrate resilience, patience and a calm approach when supporting complex needs.
- Willingness toassistwith personal care as needed.
- Be committedtopromotingindependence,choiceand dignity.
- Work flexibly across a variety of shifts, including short shifts, weekends, public holidays, sleepovers, and active wake shifts.




- Contribute positively to a team environment and work independently whenrequired.
- Havestrong communicationskills,maintainaccuratedocumentation, and use Microsoft Office confidently.
- Work effectively and follow support plans and organisational procedures.
- Bereliable,accountableand committed to providing high-quality support.

Candidate Requirements

- Certificate III, Certificate IV, or Diploma in Disability/Community Services (or related field)
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates (or willingness to obtain before employment)
- A valid driver's licence
- A comprehensively insured and registered vehicle
- A valid NDI… Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
