We are seeking an experienced Motor Mechanic to join the team at Target Automotive Ltd in Riverstone, NSW. This is a full-time position where you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality vehicle maintenance and repair services to our valued customers. As a Motor Mechanic, you will be at the heart of our operations, ensuring that every vehicle that passes through our workshop meets the highest standards of safety and performance. Your expertise and attention to detail will directly contribute to customer satisfaction and the reputation of Target Automotive Ltd.
Key responsibilities
- Diagnose vehicle faults using specialised diagnostic equipment and manual inspection techniques
- Perform routine maintenance tasks including oil changes, filter replacements, fluid top-ups and brake inspections
- Repair and replace vehicle components including engines, transmissions, suspension systems and brake systems
- Conduct vehicle safety inspections and prepare comprehensive reports for customers
- Operate and maintain workshop equipment safely and in accordance with workplace health and safety regulations
- Complete accurate documentation and work orders for all repairs and maintenance completed
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding vehicle issues, recommended repairs and costs
- Work efficiently to meet workshop schedules and customer delivery deadlines
- Maintain a clean and organised workshop environment
- Keep up to date with manufacturer service bulletins and technical updates
What we're looking for
- A minimum of 3 years' experience as a qualified Motor Mechanic
- Proficiency in using diagnostic testing equipment and workshop tools
- Knowledge of current vehicle systems including engine management,
electrical systems and emissions controls
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- A commitment to workplace health and safety standards
- A valid driver's licence
- Experience with computerised workshop management systems is desirable
- Knowledge of hybrid or electric vehicle technology is advantageous
