Job Description

Salary: $75,000 + $85,000 + Superannuation per Annum.
Our client, Radon Pty Ltd T/A Build Fast Constructions Australia, is seeking a dedicated and skilled full-time Civil Engineering Draftsperson to support the delivery of residential and commercial construction projects. The business is experiencing continued growth within the construction sector and is actively expanding its project portfolio through the acquisition of new developments and infrastructure works.
The successful candidate will play a key role in preparing detailed technical drawings, design documentation, and project deliverables to support efficient project execution.
Responsibility Responsible for preparing detailed drawings, plans, and technical documentation for civil infrastructure, residential, and commercial projects using CAD software such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
The role involves producing accurate construction drawings, design documentation, quantity take-offs, and revisions while ensuring compliance with engineering standards, project specifications, and construction requirements.
- Assist civil engineers and engineering technologists in preparing detailed drawings, plans, and technical documentation for civil infrastructure projects including residential and commercial projects.
- Produce accurate construction drawings, sketches, and working plans using CAD software such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D, ensuring compliance with engineering standards, specifications, and project requirements.
- Prepare technical documentation, specifications, and drawing sets to support tender submissions, contract requirements, and construction execution.
- Undertake site surveys and collect field data including levels, measurements, and geospatial information to support design development and update existing drawings.
- Translate engineering concepts and design sketches into detailed technical drawings suitable for construction and contractor use.
- Perform material quantity take-offs and assist in estimating construction requirements based on drawings and design documentation.
- Review and revise drawings throughout the project lifecycle to ensure accuracy, compliance, and alignment with engineering changes and site conditions.
- Inspect civil works on-site at different construction stages to ensure compliance with approved drawings and report discrepancies or non-conformances to engineers.
- Assist in the preparation of drainage, stormwater, road alignment, pavement, and utility service drawings in accordance with Australian Standards and project specifications.
- Support the design and documentation of water supply, sewerage, and hydraulic services systems as part of civil infrastructure projects.
- Liaise with project engineers, site supervisors, and construction teams to clarify design requirements, respond to RFIs, and ensure correct implementation of drawings.
- Maintain accurate drawing registers, revision records, and project documentation systems to ensure proper version control and project compliance throughout construction stages.
Mandatory Requirements:
- AQF comparable Diploma or Higher education Relevant Minimum 1
