During this time, we’ve built a reputation for solving problems creatively and thinking outside the box. You can bet we’ll get the job done quickly and efficiently. We are seeking highly skilled Cabinet Makers to join our dedicated team of professionals.
As a Cabinet Maker you will fabricate, assemble, repair, and install custom wooden cabinetry, counters, and furniture. Interpret blueprints, operate woodworking machinery, and assemble components with precise hardware. The work involves selecting materials, applying finishes, and ensuring the final product meets both aesthetic and functional requirements.
The role includes but is not limited to: Study blueprints, sketches, and work orders to determine specifications to create custom cabinet, counters,
and furniture. Choose appropriate materials such as timbers, plywoods, veneers, particle board, synthetic wood, and other engineered wood products and estimate the total costs of the materials.
Plan an effective approach to work to ensure that each project is completed on time. Cuts, shapes and assembles materials to build cabinetry and fittings. Utilise and control CAD and CNC machines to precisely mark out, cut and shape components.
Apply finishes to cabinetry and fittings for aesthetics. Apply protective coatings to cabinets and furniture. Fitting hinges, locks, catches, drawers, shelves and other associated hardware. Collaborate with clients and tradespeople for accurate installation.
Install cabinetry and fittings in various areas as directed. Repair or refurbish damaged cabinetry and fittings. To be considered for this role, you must have the following:
Trade qualified with proven experience in the same field. Knowledge in operating wide range of hand tools and power tools. Solid attention to detail and the ability to conduct quality checks on completed work.
Ability to meet tight deadlines without sacrificing workmanship. Ability to work independently or as part of a team to complete assigned tasks. Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries in the workplace.
Physically fit and able to lift large, heavy equipment and materials. Attention to detail. Strong communication skills.
Excellent reporting skills. Self-motivated, organised, punctual and reliable. Must have great work ethics.
Salary: Between $79,499 and $82,000 per annum + Super
