About The Infants' Home

The Infants’ Home has supported children and families since 1874. Based in Ashfield, we bring early childhood education and care, family day care, early intervention, family support, health and wellbeing services together in one integrated child and family service. Our work is grounded in the belief that every child should have every opportunity. Across our services, we support children and families with diverse strengths, needs and circumstances, including those experiencing vulnerability or requiring additional support. This is a setting where early learning, inclusion, family support and child development are connected in practice.

The Infants’ Home is a child safe organisation. We are committed to the safety, wellbeing and participation of every child in our care.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced client engagement administrator or clinician to coordinate the day to day operations of our Early Intervention and Wellbeing Hub (the Hub) and support our community and parenting programs. You will manage family enquiries, intake and onboarding, clinician appointments, client records and billing administration for services delivered through the Hub. The role also includes reception cover and administrative coordination for several established community programs.

This role is based in Ashfield. Full-time is our preference, but we are open to a part-time arrangement that provides consistent and reliable coverage across all five days. Shorter daily hours, including hours that fit within the school day, could work well.

About you

- Experience in administration, intake, reception or practice coordination within an allied health, therapy, disability or medical clinic.
- Practical knowledge of the NDIS, including service agreements, plan types, invoicing and claiming.
- Experience managing clinician diaries, cancellations, waitlists and competing appointment needs.
- Confidence handling client enquiries, onboarding and confidential records.
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- Careful attention to privacy, consent, billing and data accuracy.
- Confidence using practice management, scheduling and business systems.
- An understanding of allied health services, family-centred practice and client goals.
- The ability to build trusting relationships with families, conduct meaningful intake conversations, identify family priorities, and support clinicians by ensuring families’ goals and concerns are accurately captured and communicated.

A valid NDIS Worker Check.

Mandatory national child safety training (Geccko).

Experience in early intervention, paediatrics, disability services or community programs would be well regarded but is not essential. All employees at The Infants’ Home must have valid working rights in Australia and hold a current NSW Working with Children Check.
