Kilcomer Group is a growing civil construction company operating across also of Australia. We are looking for an experienced, Xero-confident bookkeeper to manage the day-to‑day financial administration of the business, including accounts payable, purchasing, subcontractor invoicing and timesheet coordination.

This role works closely with our Payroll Officer, who processes payroll based on the timesheet information you collate and provide each week. You do not need payroll processing; but you need to be confident, accurate and organised across Xero, accounts payable, reconciling and project administration.

About the Role

Accounts Payable, Purchasing & Projects

Managing end-to‑end accounts payable in Xero, including processing supplier and subcontractor invoices and coding to the correct projects and cost codes.

Establishing and administering a purchase order (PO) system in Xero, including setting up workflows, approval limits and supplier records.

Matching supplier and subcontractor invoices to purchase orders and delivery dockets and resolving discrepancies with suppliers and site teams.

Preparing payment runs and reconciling supplier statements.

Tracking committed and actual costs against projects to support job costing and project reporting.

Managing accounts receivable and invoicing as required.

Reconciling accounts on Xero

Timesheets & Payroll Coordination

Managing our Connecteam workforce management system, including staff timesheets and rosters.

Reviewing employee timesheets each week for accuracy and completeness before payroll is processed.





Collating and issuing timesheet data to our Payroll Officer on a weekly basis in the required format so payroll can be processed accurately and on time.

Acting as the first point of contact for timesheet queries from employees and site supervisors, escalating pay-related questions to the Payroll Officer as needed.

General bookkeeping tasks in Xero.

Maintaining accurate financial and supplier records.

Identifying opportunities to improve bookkeeping and purchasing processes.

Providing support with general finance and administration duties as required.

About You

Proven bookkeeping experience, ideally including accounts payable in a construction or project-based business.

Strong working knowledge of Xero; experience setting up or using purchase orders in Xero is highly regarded.

Experience with subcontractor invoicing and job/project costing (construction industry experience highly regarded).

Comfortable reviewing and collating timesheet data; experience with Connecteam or similar workforce management software is highly regarded.

High attention to detail and strong organisational skills, with the ability to meet weekly deadlines.

Confidence working autonomously and coordinating with a separate Payroll Officer.

Excellent communication skills and the confidence to liaise with employees, site supervisors, suppliers and management.
