High Risk Solutions Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Advance and Intermediate Scaffolder to join our team in Gladstone, QLD. This is a full-time position offering a valuable opportunity to contribute your expertise within the mining, resources and energy sector. You will be working on complex scaffolding projects that are critical to the safe and efficient operation of industrial facilities. This role is based on-site in Gladstone QLD 4680, where you will apply your advanced technical knowledge and problem-solving skills to deliver high-quality scaffolding solutions for our clients.

Key responsibilities

- Design, plan and erect advanced and intermediate scaffolding structures in accordance with industry standards and client specifications
- Conduct thorough risk assessments and implement safety measures to ensure all scaffolding installations comply with relevant legislation and regulations
- Inspect scaffolding systems regularly to identify defects, wear and potential hazards, and perform necessary repairs or modifications
- Collaborate with site managers, engineers and other trades to coordinate scaffolding requirements and timelines
- Maintain accurate documentation and records relating to scaffolding installations, inspections and maintenance activities
- Train and mentor junior scaffolders, providing guidance on best practices and safety procedures
- Operate specialised equipment safely, including elevated work platforms and rigging equipment
- Respond promptly to changes in project scope or emergency situations requiring scaffold modifications

What we're looking for





- A minimum of 3 years' practical experience as an advance and intermediate scaffolder within the mining, resources or energy sector
- Current and valid scaffolding certifications, including intermediate or advanced level qualifications recognised in Australia
- Demonstrated competency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, plans and specifications
- Strong knowledge of relevant Australian Standards (AS/NZS 4576) and Work Health and Safety (WHS) legislation applicable to scaffolding
- Proficiency in performing load calculations and understanding structural principles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in team environments
- A proactive approach to safety with a proven track record of maintaining high safety standards on site
- Physical fitness and ability to work at heights for extended periods
- A current valid driver's licence and willingness to travel within Queensland as required
- Preferred: Experience working in coal mining or LNG facilities, and familiarity with confined space scaffolding applications
