About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Traffic Controller who is passionate about building strong client relationships and growing our presence throughout the Newcastle and Hunter region.

This is a hands‑on leadership role combining operational management with business development. You'll oversee the day‑to‑day delivery of traffic control services while actively securing new projects and expanding our client base.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and coordinate traffic control operations across multiple projects.
- Develop and maintain relationships with civil contractors, councils, and infrastructure clients.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities throughout Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Port Stephens, Maitland, and the Hunter Region.
- Schedule crews, vehicles, and equipment to ensure efficient project delivery.
- Lead, mentor, and support traffic controllers and supervisors.




- Ensure all works comply with NSW traffic management standards, WHS requirements, and client expectations.
- Monitor project performance.

About You

To be successful, you will have:

- Previous experience with traffic control operations.
- Robust knowledge of NSW traffic management requirements.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Existing industry relationships within the Newcastle and Hunter region (highly regarded).
- Strong organisational and leadership abilities.
- Current driver's licence.
- Working with Children Check
- Relevant traffic management qualifications (preferred).
