Bare Whole Foods Mona Vale is seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Barista/Café Manager to join our team on a full-time basis. Based in Mona Vale, NSW 2103, this role represents a fantastic opportunity to lead our café operations whilst maintaining the high standards of quality and customer service that define our brand. As Senior Barista/Café Manager, you will be instrumental in creating an exceptional café experience, overseeing day-to-day operations, managing staff, and ensuring every customer interaction reflects our commitment to excellence in specialty coffee and wholefood dining.

Key responsibilities

- Lead and supervise café operations, including staff scheduling, training and performance management to ensure smooth daily service
- Prepare and serve specialty coffee beverages to the highest standard, demonstrating expert barista skills and maintaining consistency across all drinks
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all café offerings and provide knowledgeable recommendations to customers
- Manage stock levels, ordering and inventory control for coffee, milk, food items and café supplies
- Ensure the café maintains the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene and food safety compliance at all times
- Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve any customer concerns professionally and promptly
- Train and mentor café team members in barista techniques, customer service and operational procedures
- Collaborate with management to achieve sales targets and implement café promotions and new menu items
- Monitor cash handling and point-of-sale systems to ensure accuracy and security
- Maintain café equipment in valuable working order and arrange maintenance when required

What we're looking for





- Minimum 3-5 years' experience working as a barista, with proven expertise in specialty coffee preparation and latte art
- Demonstrated experience in a café management or supervisory role, with responsibility for staff leadership and operational management
- Current or recently held nationally recognised barista qualifications or certification
- Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards, with knowledge of relevant compliance requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during peak service times whilst maintaining quality and composure
- Genuine passion for specialty coffee, quality beverages and wholefood dining
- Experience with point-of-sale systems and basic inventory management
- Flexible approach to working hours, including potential weekend and public holiday availability
- Relevant Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification is highly desirable
