We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Production Assistant to join a busy production team in Bathurst.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and has robust administration, coordination and computer skills. Working closely with the production and factory teams, you will help ensure jobs are planned, organised and progressing efficiently from the office through to production.

About the Role

This position is primarily office-based and focused on production coordination, planning and administration. You will play an important role in keeping production information accurate, jobs organised and communication flowing between the production team, suppliers, clients and transport providers.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist with production planning and job preparation
- Read and interpret production drawings and plans
- Update and maintain production information and records
- Assist with job coordination and material flow
- Coordinate freight bookings and transport logistics
- Assist with production scheduling and administration
- Use Microsoft Excel, Windows and Vectorworks drawing software
- Manage email correspondence and respond professionally to enquiries




- Communicate with suppliers, clients and internal teams by phone and email
- Work closely with the factory and production teams to support the efficient delivery of jobs

About You

The successful candidate will be:

- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Confident using computers and Microsoft Excel
- A strong communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable managing emails, phone calls and multiple tasks
- Able to read and interpret production drawings and plans
- Proactive, reliable and able to work independently
- Comfortable working closely with production and factory teams

Experience in upholstery production or a similar manufacturing environment would be highly desirable. Experience in production administration, manufacturing, construction, drafting or a similar coordination role will also be highly regarded.

Experience with Vectorworks or similar drawing software would be an advantage.
