Titan Ind Pty Ltd is seeking skilled and experienced Mechanical Fitters to join our team on a 3-month contract basis with the possibility of extension for ongoing work. Based in Central Queensland on a 2/1 roster, DIDO Role, this role is pivotal to maintaining and installing mechanical systems and equipment that keep our operations running smoothly. As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for assembling, installing, servicing and repairing a wide variety of mechanical equipment and machinery. This position requires a detail-oriented professional who can work independently and collaboratively to ensure all mechanical components function to the highest standard.

What you'll be doing

- Assembling, installing and commissioning mechanical equipment and machinery in accordance with technical specifications and drawings
- Performing routine maintenance, servicing and repairs on mechanical systems to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance
- Diagnosing mechanical faults and defects, determining root causes and implementing effective solutions
- Using precision measuring tools and equipment to ensure components are fitted to exact specifications and tolerances
- Adhering to all health, safety and environmental regulations on site

What we're looking for

- A formal qualification in mechanical fitting, engineering or a related trade discipline
- A minimum of 3 years' post-apprenticeship experience as a Mechanical Fitter in industrial, manufacturing or maintenance environments
- Competency with precision measuring instruments such as micrometres, callipers and dial gauges




- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex mechanical problems
- Experience with machinery installation, commissioning and preventative maintenance programmes
- Current MMQ Medical or Coal Board Medical is highly regarded
- Current Construction Card and Working at Heights SOA are advantageous
