About the Role:
GenTech Seeds is seeking the expertise of a Farm Services Consultant to join the Pioneer Seeds team. This role will represent and drive sales of Pioneer Brand Products across a defined territory area through active engagement with growers and other industry stakeholders, providing before and after sales service to customers to assist in achieving optimum outcomes from market leading Pioneer products.
Key accountabilities this position will be responsible for:
Develop and maintain a portfolio of grower customers and network of industry professionals
Build new customer relationships through face to face interaction
Identify market opportunities and key stakeholders
Identify and connect with key industry influencers within defined territory
Communicate collaboratively with reseller customers as part of the Pioneer supply chain
Manage enquiries from new and existing customers in defined territory area
Have a direct focus on growers as customers of Pioneer Seeds
Work collaboratively with agronomists and consultants to develop and achieve sales of Pioneer products
Undertake and engage in sales planning activities with TSM relevant to territory, products and seasons
Develop and execute plans for customer engagement activities (field activities, updates etc)
About You:
Tertiary Qualifications in Agriculture or other related disciplines (Preferred)
Valid Manual Drivers Licence (Preferred)
Agricultural / Sales Background with knowledge of locally relevant farming systems (Preferred)
Use of CRM systems for management of customer and business information
Advanced digital literacy with developed skills across the Microsoft suite included D365
Personable nature and the ability to build rapport quickly through conversation with internal and external stakeholders
Ability to work autonomously or in a team-based environment
Self starter, driven and determined to identify opportunities and reach goals through promotion of Pioneer products
Level of maturity with the ability to go above and beyond in their role
Ability to travel throughout defined territory on a regular basis to service customer base and new opportunities (this role will have occasional nights away from home)
