The Role

We’re looking for an Accounting Coach who combines strong financial expertise with the ability to guide and influence business owners.

This is a client-facing advisory role, not a traditional compliance accounting position. You’ll work directly with trade business owners, helping them understand their numbers, improve performance, and make better decisions.

You’ll manage your own portfolio of clients, delivering 1:1 financial coaching, group sessions, and strategic guidance across profitability, cash flow, and business performance.

This role is ideal for someone who wants to move beyond spreadsheets and into real business impact, advisory, and coaching.

Location: Byron Bay or Gold Coast (Onboarding: 4 weeks in Byron Bay)

Who You Are

- You have a solid foundation in commercial, management,



or business services accounting
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA or CA qualification highly regarded
- 3–5 years experience in a relevant accounting role
- Strong understanding of P&L;, cash flow, and financial performance
- Confident using Xero or cloud-based accounting systems (Xero certification highly regarded)
- You can explain financial concepts in a simple, practical way
- Strong communication and client relationship skills
- Analytical, detail-oriented, and solutions-focused
- Interested in business advisory, coaching, and helping business owners succeed

What You’ll Do

- Run 1:1 financial coaching sessions with business owners
- Facilitate group training sessions on financial and accounting topics
- Help clients understand their financial reports and key business metrics
- Guide clients to improve profitability, cash flow, and financial systems
- Review client financials and prepare insights before sessions
- Track progress and hold clients accountable to financial goals
- Communicate financial concepts in a clear, practical way
- Work closely with the Head Coaching team to drive client outcomes

Requirements

- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA or CA qualification highly regarded
- 3–5 years experience in accounting, business services, or commercial roles
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting and performance metrics
- Experience with Xero or similar cloud accounting platforms
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills
- Strong analytical ability and attention to detail
