They are seeking an experienced HSEQ Coordinator to join their team, supporting operations based at Brisbane Airport. This is an excellent opportunity to make a tangible impact by driving safety, quality and environmental excellence across a dynamic and fast-paced operational setting.
This role combines compliance, stakeholder engagement and continuous improvement, making it ideal for someone who enjoys being out on site, building relationships and influencing positive safety outcomes.
- Maintain and continuously improve the Integrated Management System, ensuring ongoing compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
- Promote a proactive safety culture across the Brisbane Airport operations.
- Investigate incidents, injuries and near misses, ensuring effective corrective actions are implemented.
- Conduct workplace audits, inspections, observations and safety walks.
- Deliver toolbox talks and safety training.
- Undertake regular site visits, pre-start meetings and workplace inspections.
- Monitor changes to WHS legislation and provide compliance advice.
- Prepare HSEQ reports, dashboards and performance metrics.
- Support contractor compliance and documentation management.
- Collaborate with operational teams to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, environmental and quality standards.
About You
You'll be a proactive HSEQ professional who enjoys building strong relationships and influencing positive safety behaviours.
You'll ideally bring:
- 3-5 years' experience in a HSEQ, WHS or Safety Coordinator position.
- Experience managing ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.
- Strong knowledge of Australian WHS legislation.
- Experience conducting audits and workplace inspections.
- ICAM investigation experience or training (highly regarded).
- Experience within facilities management, property, construction or a similar operational environment.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Current driver's licence.
- Experience with HSEQ systems such as Intelex or Avetta is advantageous.
Qualifications
- Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (essential)
- Diploma in Work Health & Safety (desirable)
- Current First Aid Certificate (preferred)
