We are seeking a skilled and reliable Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy diesel vehicles and machinery to ensure they operate safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults on heavy diesel equipment.
Perform routine servicing, maintenance, and preventative inspections.
Repair and replace engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, hydraulics, and other components.
Complete breakdown repairs in the workshop and, where required, on-site.
Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify faults accurately.
Maintain accurate service records and complete required documentation.
Ensure all work is carried out safely and in accordance with company policies and industry standards.
Work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines.
Requirements
Trade qualification as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic (or equivalent).
Experience working on trucks, earthmoving equipment, agricultural machinery, or mining equipment.
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
Ability to work independently with a high level of attention to detail.
Current driver's licence (HR licence preferred but not essential).
