Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will deliver fluid power engineering, co-ordination and "hands-on" design, procurement, scheduling, and management of small-medium projects as part of a massive $1bn + project
Responsibilities
- Application and knowledge of Australian/International Standards related to Fluid Power Systems
- Maintain an awareness of the Design Management Plan and ensure its deployment across the assigned work packages
- Participate in the resolution of engineering issues within the assigned work packages
- Ensure integration of design disciplines and across the assigned work packages. Review of other discipline documents for alignment, e.g. P&IDS;, PDS (Process Design Specification)
- Ensure that relevant fluid power design information and support is provided to Construction team
- Ensure that fluid power commissioning activities planned and resourced
Required
- 5+ years' experience, with 2+ years' experience in a Fluid Power engineering role
- Experience in the management of customer interfaces, fault finding, design, manufacture, installation and commissioning of fluid power equipment.
- Management of small-medium design and construction projects or work packages in a heavy industrial workplace
- Experience in contract, commercial and technical document preparation
- Project estimating and planning processes skills
- Experience in cost management and forecasting
