About the Role

As an Electrical Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive tenders across a range of civil and infrastructure projects, including:

- URD (Underground Residential Developments)

- Ergon Energy projects

- Energex projects

- Road lighting and traffic signal infrastructure

- Civil electrical infrastructure

- Commercial developments and government projects

Working closely with our management team,



project managers and suppliers, you will play a key role in securing future work for the business.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare detailed electrical estimates and tender submissions

- Interpret civil and electrical drawings, specifications and tender documentation

- Perform accurate quantity take-offs

- Obtain and assess supplier and subcontractor quotations

- Develop pricing strategies and identify value engineering opportunities

- Prepare tender clarifications and supporting documentation

- Attend site inspections and pre-tender meetings where required

- Assist with project handovers to the delivery team

- Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and suppliers

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Minimum 5 years' experience estimating electrical projects

- Strong experience in Civil Electrical, URD, Ergon and/or Energex projects

- Excellent understanding of Queensland electrical distribution standards

- Ability to read and interpret civil and electrical drawings

- Strong knowledge of electrical materials, labour and construction methodologies

- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills

- Strong communication and negotiation skills

- High level of computer literacy

- Experience with estimating software (Expert Estimation, Simpro, Benchmark, Candy or similar) is advantageous

Qualifications

- Electrical Trade Qualification (preferred)

- Current Electrical Licence (preferred)

- Current Driver Licence

- Estimating or project management experience within the electrical industry
