Final Form Regeneration (FFR) is a leading Bush Regeneration and environmental services company that is heavily involved within the government and commercial industries. We take outstanding pride in delivering value and targeted solutions for our clients and looking after our people.
We are a small team of 6 employees, that provides specialised services including riparian area rehabilitation/revegetation, erosion control and maintenance, weed control and general environmental management.
FFR has been engaged to undertake integrated weed management on a number of high profile sites across the Upper Hunter. FFR is seeking a Bush Regeneration Officer to join our projects under the direction of the our Team Leader, General Manager and client site Managers. FFR also works closely with Tocal College and TAFE NSW to provide our staff with the best quality training.
- Ability to work in the Upper Hunter area (must have current Licence and own transport).
- Self-motivated, proactive, use initiative and valuable natured.
- Have a passion for practical environmental restoration and weed management with previous bush regeneration experience.
- Minimum 6 months of previous bush regeneration experience is required.
- Intermediate weed identification, native plant identification skills, or willingness to proactively learn.
- Proven ability to work in remote bushland under various weather conditions and terrain.
- Adequate level of physical fitness required for manual weed removal
- Ability to walk long distances and lift a 10kg load.
- Class C driver's license.
- Full AQF3 chemical application certification must be held prior to commencement.
- Ability to undertake and pass a pre- employment medical (drug test).
- Australian citizenship or permanent residency is required for this position.
- Qualifications in Conservation and Land Management desirable or environmental related discipline, (or) working towards related discipline.
- Experience in or willingness to learn IT platforms GIS Reporting.
- Current First Aid Certificate.
- Demonstrated experience in high-volume herbicide spraying units and back-pack sprayers.
- Demonstrated experience in tree planting.
- Current Mine Medical and Glencore/Mangoola induction.
