About the role

- Lead and manage the 24/7 alarm monitoring facility for NSW public schools
- Lead and develop specialist teams to build capability, align resources, and ensure a coordinated and collaborative approach to the delivery of security services for NSW public schools
- Develop, build and maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Provide expert, strategic advice to the Director, AMU Services on the performance of security operations, emerging risks and opportunities to strengthen service delivery and security outcomes
- Manage, monitor and continuously improve service delivery models in consultation with schools, service providers and key stakeholders
- Identify, assess and respond to emerging operational risks and issues, and develop appropriate solutions to effectively mitigate security risks and address stakeholder concerns
- Prepare high-quality briefings, reports and other correspondence to support informed decision-making and effective stakeholder communication.

About School Infrastructure

School Infrastructure is delivering new school buildings, major upgrades and maintenance strategies to ensure every school-aged child has access to high quality education facilities at their local public school.



This encompasses the largest investment in public education infrastructure in the history of NSW.

Key skills and experience

- Proven leadership experience, with the ability to manage and motivate a team
- Strong project or program management skills, ideally in security operations, incident management, facilities or asset management.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to prioritise, manage risk, and drive outcomes across multiple projects

About you

- Must be an Australian Citizen
- Availability to respond to after-hours incidents as required
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in security management/operations or a related field and/or demonstrated equivalent professional experience.
- Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department's Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people

Renewal is not required after the WWCC expires, as long as you remain in a non-child-related role. Employer obligations only apply while the WWCC is valid.
