The Company
We are a well‑established supplier of door hardware to the construction industry and are seeking a reliable and physically fit Warehouse Assistant/Picker Packer to join our team.
This is a hands‑on role suited to someone who values accuracy, works efficiently, and takes pride in delivering excellent service to builders and trade customers.
About the Role
As a Warehouse Assistant, you’ll be an integral part of our operations team, helping us ensure that each order is picked, packed, and dispatched accurately and efficiently. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will help us deliver products that our customers depend on, contributing directly to the smooth running of the supply chain.
Duties
- Receive and check incoming stock/orders for accuracy against pick slips
- Pick and pack door hardware orders (locks, hinges, handles, closers, fittings, etc.)
- Load and unload delivery vehicles safely
- Sort incoming goods for distribution to relevant departments or project bays
- Deliver orders to construction sites and trade customers
- Assist with stock control and general warehouse duties
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Conduct basic plant and equipment checks
- Adhering to company WHS guidelines and procedures, ensuring workspace is free of debris, removing safety hazards and wearing appropriate safety PPE when required
Qualifications and Experience
- Valid manual driver’s licence (essential)
- Previous warehouse and/or delivery driving experience
- Physically fit and able to lift comfortably
- Strong attention to detail
- Reliable and punctual
- Experience in building supplies, hardware, or construction (highly regarded)
