The successful applicant will join a team with great work ethic and will thrive in an environment that consists of preparing and blasting components ready for powder coating. There may some opportunity to also assist with the powder coating processes. This is a hands‑on physical role and you will need to be comfortable being on your feet all day, lifting, bending and carrying product where required.

Nine Day fortnight – get every other Friday as a day off!

Duties and responsibilities will include;

- Preparing and blasting steel components as specified.
- Completing product assembly using basic hand tools and fixings.
- Carrying out general forklift work as required in the warehouse.
- Maintaining a tidy and safe workspace.
- Complying with all Occupational Health, Safety and Setting regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Performing other related duties, as assigned for the purpose of ensuing an efficient and effective work setting.

Required Skills/experience

- Equipment operation: Proven experience setting up and operating blast pots, cabinets, compressors, and specialized nozzles.
- Surface preparation: Experience cleaning, descaling, or removing rust and old coatings from metal or concrete surfaces.
- Detail‑oriented: Able to inspect finished surfaces carefully for defects,



consistency, and proper profile smoothness.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and hold a high‑pressure blast hose for extended periods.
- Tolerance for Conditions: Comfort working in extremely noisy, dusty environments while wearing full Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including a blast hood.
- Surface Preparation: The ability to strip old coatings, identify surface defects, and prepare raw materials for protective paint.
- Safety Compliance: A strict adherence to safety protocols, including wearing full‑body Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as blast helmets, respirators, and heavy gloves.
- Forklift: A current valid forklift licence would be a real advantage.
