Are you interested in relocating to the Sunshine Coast?

Oaks Sunshine Coast Oasis Resort are looking for a skilled and motivated Demi Chef to join our kitchen team on a full-time basis.

This role is essential in supporting the smooth operation of the kitchen, assisting with food preparation, cooking, and presentation, while helping deliver a high-quality dining experience for guests.

Key Responsibilities Include:

- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in line with menu standards and guest expectations.
- Assist in the development and plating of high-quality meals.
- Maintain cleanliness, organisation, and compliance with food safety, hygiene, and Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) standards.
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure efficient service and smooth operations.
- Support and mentor junior kitchen staff where required.
- Contribute to menu planning, recipe development, and kitchen efficiency improvements.

Shift Details (subject to change):

- Full-time position
- Rotating roster across Monday to Sunday
- No split shifts required
- Shifts may include breakfast, lunch, and dinner services (dinner closes at 7.45pm)

Hourly Rates (excluding superannuation):

Monday - Friday: $31.30 per hour
Saturday: $39.13 per hour
Sunday: $46.95 per hour

Qualifications

- Previous experience as a Demi Chef or in a similar kitchen role.
- Relevant Australian cookery qualifications,



ideally Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent.
- Knowledge of cooking techniques, food preparation, and presentation standards.
- Understanding of HACCP, OH&S;, and kitchen hygiene requirements.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Positive, proactive attitude and genuine passion for cooking.
- Flexibility to work across a range of shifts, including weekends and public holidays
