JAE is a mechanical engineering business that specialises in the manufacturing and refurbishment of coal mining machines and equipment, in accordance with OEM (original equipment manufacturer) specifications and government legislations.

JAE is searching for an Engineering Manager to join their team who will report to the Operations Manager.

These tasks include:

- Actively work with the team to drive improvement initiatives, quantify advantages and track performance;
- Determine, implement and monitor engineering strategies, policies and plans;
- Ensure conformity with specifications and plans, and with laws, regulations and safety standards;
- Establish project / job schedules to manage workflow and budgets;
- Instil a growth and learning mind-set within the Engineering Department to increase overall strength;
- Interpret drawings,



specifications and plans to provide advice on engineering methods and procedures to achieve manufacturing requirements;
- Liaise with senior management regarding engineering aspects of new product design;
- Maintain and ensure prescribed engineering standards of quality, cost, safety, timeliness and performance are observed;
- Oversee maintenance requirements to optimise efficiency;
- Participate in research and development projects, establishing processes to identify opportunities and improvements on delivering innovative products.

To be considered you will need a relevant degree or higher with two years minimum relevant employment experience or at least five years of relevant employment experience to substitute for the formal qualification.
