About the Role – Design Manager

We are seeking an experienced and solutions-focused Design Manager to lead and coordinate the design delivery of our major construction projects. The role will work heavily across both the design/development and construction functions of Silverstone Developments and Blackwatch Projects.

Acting as the critical link between design and construction, you will ensure that design outcomes are practical, coordinated, compliant, and aligned with project objectives, program, budget, and quality expectations. Working closely with internal and external teams, you will drive collaboration throughout the design lifecycle while proactively managing risks, resolving technical challenges, and ensuring seamless integration from concept through to project completion.

Key duties of the role include, but are not limited to:

- Lead and manage the design process from project commencement through to completion, ensuring alignment with program, budget, quality and client requirements.
- Coordinate consultants to deliver fully integrated, compliant and buildable design solutions,



as needed the role will provide practical advice, draft and revise drawings to ensure consistent support to all teams.
- Develop, monitor, and manage design programs, proactively resolving design issues and mitigating risks that may impact project delivery.
- Review and manage design documentation to ensure compliance with relevant legislation, Australian Standards, project specifications, and constructability requirements.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and project teams, facilitating collaboration and communicating design decisions throughout the project lifecycle - this includes regular attendance to sites.

About You

- Qualified Architect or Engineer with tertiary studies in relevant fields (I.e., Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering or such other related discipline.)
- At least 5+ years’ experience within similar role.
- Experience in the Construction of Residential Mid-rise and/or projects with a value of $25 million or greater.
- Prior experience with Procore or similar systems.
