Terrain NRM is a community-driven, independent, not-for-profit environmental stewardship organisation, combining the latest science with local knowledge to develop sustainable solutions for the Wet Tropics region.

About the Role:

- Lead strategic investment programs to boost natural asset resilience in the Wet Tropics.
- Coordinate organisational and regional plans and strategies.
- Build and maintain relationships with funders and investors.
- Drive and coordinate proposals, grants and business opportunities.
- Support the adoption of plans in organisational planning and delivery.
- Foster strong internal and external partnerships.
- Oversee a small team to plan and prioritise risks and activities.

Skills and Knowledge:

- Proven expertise in natural resource management, conservation, environmental science, or environmental markets,



including team leadership.
- Solid written and verbal skills for reporting, grant proposals, and professional relationships.
- Commercially astute with a focus on quality and outcomes.
- Ability to lead strategic plans, communications, and partnership frameworks with measurable results.
- Commitment to continuous learning and self-service practices.

This role is 0.8 to 1.0 FTE (up to 36.25 hrs/week) on a 2-year fixed-term contract, with extension possible. Hybrid work opportunities and flexibility to base from Atherton, Cairns, Innisfail, or Tully. Regional travel required.
