About the Role

As an MC Road Train Operator, you will play a critical role in supporting our mining logistics operations by safely transporting mineral sands products and associated freight throughout regional New South Wales.

Operating within a safety-first culture, you will be responsible for ensuring all transport activities are completed efficiently, professionally, and in compliance with company and legislative requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate MC road train combinations safely and efficiently.
- Conduct daily pre-start, operational and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Comply with all NHVR, fatigue management and Chain of Responsibility requirements.




- Complete transport documentation and electronic compliance records accurately.
- Maintain high standards of vehicle presentation and care.
- Work closely with logistics coordinators and site personnel to achieve production and delivery targets.
- Identify and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
- Represent Basin Sands Logistics professionally at all times.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

Essential Requirements

- Current MC (Multi Combination) Driver Licence.
- Demonstrated experience operating MC combinations.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and compliance.
- Sound understanding of fatigue management legislation.
- Knowledge of Chain of Responsibility obligations.
- Ability to work independently in remote environments.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Reliable work ethic and professional attitude.

Highly Regarded

- Previous road train experience.
- Mining or remote operations experience.
- Basic mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting ability.
- Experience using electronic work diaries and transport management systems.
